Stay one step ahead of thieves!
Do you like your bike, moped, scooter or motorcycle? Watch out, thieves do too! Secure your two-wheeler with an ART quality mark lock. This keeps you one step ahead of thieves!
Frequently asked questions
Is my lock ART approved and for which category?
A lock with an ART approval always has a label/print on it with the ART logo, the number of stars for the category designation and the four-digit approval number. If this approval number then appears on the list of approved locks, then it’s a lock with ART approval.
What do the stars mean?
The more stars a lock has, the higher its preventive value and the better it protects against theft. A lock with five stars has the most preventive value.
What is the ART Foundation?
The ART Foundation aims to prevent theft of two wheelers by means of more and better prevention. For this purpose, the Quality Mark has been developed to distinguish the superior preventive devices.
What do we do?
The ART Foundation promotes security against theft by:
Formulating requirements for mechanical safeguards for two wheelers
Certifying approved products
Testing locks for which an approval application has been submitted
Promoting the use of approved products
Who is represented in the ART Foundation?
The board of the ART Foundation is composed from:
- ANWB (Royal Dutch Touring Club)
- BOVAG
- RAI Vereniging
- Insurers
